Transport Request for Foreign Imported Animals

Transport request – foreign dogs/cats only

We can only transport foreign dog(s) or cats(s) that have been in the UK for at least 48 hours to serve their TRACES.  Guidelines and procedures demand that any animal entering the country not on the PET Scheme (which will apply to all rescues or individuals rescuing animals from abroad) have to be transported from their UK entry point to the initial address on the TRACES form by a DEFRA approved driver. Therefore, we CANNOT collect animals from the ferry port, euro tunnel, airport or directly from a transport van en-route to this address. We are unable to transport any animal to their secondary destination without the above process being carried out first.  We will require proof that all procedures above have been followed before we are able to assist you.

We can only assist you with a transport run if you are registered with The Animal Team and have a Unique Rescue Reference Number.  To register and apply for a URRN please CLICK HERE

PLEASE NOTE: Where possible runs will be combined with other dogs to reduce fuel costs. If you are not happy to combine, please indicate in the Other Information part of the form.
ALL DOGS WOULD BE SEPARATED AND SECURED.
Cats must travel in their own carriers.

Also PLEASE NOTE* our current rate for fuel is 24p per mile.  This is calculated for the full run from home to pick-up, to destination and returning home.  It has to be paid directly to our transporter the day before the run date.
